Career Opportunities

The Art League School’s
Summer Art Camp is currently searching for interns for Summer 2019! Summer camp at The Art League provides a week-long experience in art with each day bringing a new medium or project for youth ages five years and up. Assistance is needed with class set ups, class coordination, in class-instructor assistance, and helping to evaluate the effectiveness of classes offered. Interns are trained and directly supervised by the camp coordinator. Interns will also have the opportunity to create and teach their own lessons towards the end of the summer.

Camp begins June 17, 2019 and ends August 16, 2019. Hours are 9:30 am–4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Internships are unpaid, however stipends will be distributed to interns who work over 200 hours.

A background in art is recommended. Interested candidates should send a resume and letter of interest noting any teaching and/or experience with children to jacobn@theartleague.org

Unpaid internships are available throughout the year for assisting in the gallery. A gallery internship provides great work experience where you not only gain direct experience working in the visual arts arena, but also learn about the business operations of the gallery. It can also fulfill collegiate intern requirements for both undergraduate and graduate programs. For more information, call 703-683-1780.
