Learn the strokes that are the key to beautiful traditional calligraphy and then assemble them into fluid and elegant words. Students will practice the slow, meditative art of letter formation in one or more font styles and dip into explorations of inks, papers and nibs. Supplies provided by students plus minimal materials fee.
Students are expected to contribute their own supplies, such as: personal sketchbooks (any size), various sized paint brushes (round, square and detail brushes), acrylic paint, drawing pencils and charcoal. A supply list will be available in the School Store located in room 217 of the Torpedo Factory Art Center. All other specialized material will be provided for students.
