This class is Full!

No class on June 1.

Discover the foundations of jewelry making: soldering, filing, sawing, forming, and finishing. Beginning students make a band ring as their first project, with thorough, step by step demonstrations and explanations. Designs, aspirations, and plans for subsequent individual projects are discussed. Specialized techniques and equipment such as rolling mills, dapping blocks, and disc cutters are demonstrated.

The Art League Jewelry and Metals program covers various aspects of designing and creating art jewelry and small metal objects. Each class is suited for beginners, unless noted. The classroom is fully equipped with an extensive assortment of tools and machines. Personal tools and supplies are discussed during the first class. A $20 lab fee is payable at the first class. Basic jewelry tool kits may be rented for home use for the duration of any jewelry class.
